Isle of Skye or isle of mist

The isle of Skye is also called in Gaelic 'Eilean a’ Cheò' which means the isle of mist. Well, this is not an understatement! The weather that weekend was really bad: it didn't stop raining and there were gusts of wind during the whole day. I actually have a funny story to tell about that Sunday.
We started the day at Portree, the 'capital' of Skye and drove all the way to Kilt Rock, near Staffin. These pictures is actually one of the few I have left since the rain has completely soaked my camera. Yeah, I know it was a bad idea to take pictures with that weather! We then continued our trip to the Old Man of Storr. Let's say that the weather was so bad that we couldn't even see it because of the mist and on the way up there I fell in the mud! I was soaking wet with mud all over my clothes. But at least it was funny and it is a good story to tell at Christmas.
A beautiful island

Skye was very beautiful, even though the weather was awful. It is one of my favorite parts of Scotland. The landscapes are gorgeous; Portree was charming and the sheep were so cute! The views were incredible and this trip was just amazing and unforgettable. Skye is one of the most beautiful place ever and is definitely in my Top 5!
A few tips
Skye is well known for its bad weather conditions, so I would advise you to bring warm and waterproof clothes, as well as good shoes (hiking shoes). Do not try to use your camera while it rains! It is indeed a very bad idea, I swear. You also should be careful while hiking and do not fall in the mud like me. If you have time, I would adivse you to stay for the sunset (if the weather allows it, of course). When the night falls over Skye, you can see the milky way and perhaps you coud see the Northern Lights if you are being lucky, who knows?
